Financial Planning… it’s not rocket science!

Introducing Scot Bolton

Born in a small Northern Ontario town (trust me you’ve never heard of it) and raised on a dairy farm outside St. Marys, Ontario, Scot brings his country upbringing and small town roots to his professional life.  An emphasis on hard work, the team, to make hay while the sun shines, and that rain is often a good thing, all inform his best practices.

Married in 1997, Scot and Bridget (University of Guelph sweethearts), made Oxford and Norfolk Counties their home when they moved to Tillsonburg in 1997, while Scot was working for Scotiabank as an Agricultural Account Manager.  The opportunity to join Good Redden Klosler, and specialize in financial planning, came along in 2004, and GRK has been his professional “home” ever since.

Scot has worked in the financial services industry since 1993, while continuing his education in the areas of financial and estate planning, and specializes in working with family enterprises. Scot brings to his work an interest in community and in his clients’ long term personal and financial success.

Specializing in helping clients look at their current financial situation, ahead to their future and ensure choices reflect their business and financial goals, Scot provides integrated, tailored and comprehensive advice to clients so they can achieve their goals with comfort and confidence. Scot’s clients appreciate that he is easy to talk to, friendly, open-minded, humorous, and takes the big picture into account.

He frequently jokes that his job has three roles (or is it his role has 3 jobs?): Education, Communication, and Nagging.

Scot and Bridget, along with daughters Madelyn and Charlotte, enjoy time spent with friends, family, the Kinsmen/Kinette Club, and on a golf course. An avid reader, Scot also enjoys playing guitar and skiing with his family as frequently as is possible – preferably on a big mountain!
